Hi WSB,

I received my copy of Popular Flying this am and saw your URL on page 7, so visited your site. I'm glad that there is a site dedicated to the rally as it gives a good flavour of the event and I think it is important for someone, somewhere, to keep an invaluable archive which will be of much interest to future generations (even if they only sneer at their great-grandfathers feeble attempts to get airborne, while they hurtle around in their anti-gravity machines!)

I'm a bit of a happy snapper and hope to get a few half decent shots for inclusion (hopefully) in Popular Flying magazine. I was hoping to cover the 3 days but will be under canvas and won't have my pc with me - if I take any digital snaps on fri/sat/sun which might be worthy of your site do you have a cf reader on site I could download to? Also, I note from your site you have a few other regular snappers who contribute - are there any areas you'd like me to cover that are not mentioned on your index page - or does anything go? (Don't want to step on anyone's toes).

Very many thanks
Nigel

Hi,

Thanks for the message.

Pics are welcome from any sources. As you stated, there are a few 'regulars' who keep me supplied, but there are a number of 'ad hoc' pics received, either by folks up there who pass them on, or some by e-mail, usually a few days after the event.

I have a multi-card reader and can cope with most types of cards commonly found in cameras.

We should be located somewhere near to the OGRI motor cycle club building, so if you want to come and try and find us, please feel free.

I usually put all the pictures I receive in full quality ( I usually have to reduce the pics to somewhere under 2 megapixel due to space and time constraints for loading onto the site ) on a CD / DVD and pass them on to Brian Hope (editor PF mag) along with the names of who took them and he can choose any he wants for the mag - I know he chose a few last year.

There are no 'restricted' areas, take whatever from where-ever you like, you might get something everyone else missed. It doesn't just have to be the aircraft, I use all sorts of shots of anything that happens at the Rally just to add flavour to the event. If I get multiple pictures of the same things, it just gives me more of a choice as to what goes on the site.

Regards

Bob

Just a note to say we have decided the weather is not good enough for flying for fun, so regretfully 4 people and two aeroplanes are staying in their hangar. Best wishes to all at Kemble.

Chris.

I am not able to get pictures on the webcam, although I have downloaded the program to run it.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I am not responsible for the webcam. I have only included a link to the security company who run the cameras here at Kemble. Sorry I can't help any further.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Sorry to trouble you, but is there going to be a list of arrivals for this year as in previous years? Always found this extremely helpful.
Sorry that you are having some problems, and I don't mean to cause more.

Hi. Would it be possible to list all registrations of aircraft that were at Kemble for the PFA rally. The listings done last year were excellent and it helps me as I was working on sercuity. Thanks. Best Wishes.

Barry R Milner

I don't actually produce the arrivals list, that's done by Dave Wise. I have asked him to let me know when it's ready and I'll include a link to it asap.

Regards

Bob
